Strength Training
Ground-Based
Sports are played with our feet on the ground and we our athletes to train that way. This ensure that we will challenge both strength and stability in a way that will be prepare the body for the chaotic competitive environment that any sport will present.
Three Dimensional
We believe in training in every plane of motion - forward, side-side, and diagonally. Teaching motor control, awareness, and developing strength in all planes allows for a seamless transition to on field performance.
Multi-Joint Movements
Loaded global movements will elicit the greatest opportunity to develop both strength and body composition improvements. We believe athletes should be able to achieve a position specific bodyweight while also being strong, lean, and healthy. Multi-joint movements play a big part in this thought process.
Functional Range Systems
Athletes will learn how to restore joint integrity, increase range of motion, and be able to control their newly acquired range of motion.
FAQs
How long is each session?
All sessions are sixty minutes. Please make sure that you arrive on time (five minutes prior to the scheduled start time) as every second is accounted for.
How is weight training organized?
All sessions in our performance based membership are TOTAL body workouts.
How many times a week can I train?
Our Performance Based Strength training membership allows athletes to train up to four times per week.
Can I perform these lifts in season?
Absolutely! High school athletic careers go by fast. Athletes will never reach their potential by only training during the off season period. In order to address in season concerns we reduce volume (number of sets or reps), but keep intensity high. Over the course of four years this approach will pay huge dividends.
Can I train on back to back days?
Yes. The program is setup so that athletes can train four days in a row if necessary.
What metrics will be evaluated?
Body Composition (upon request)
Force Plate - Strength & Explosiveness - Relative & Absolute values.
Structural Balance - Predicted 1RM for all of our PRIMARY lifts will be tracked and a structural balance profile will be created.
Momentum Score - Our momentum score metric takes into consideration both speed and lean body mass. Our goal is to create faster athletes that are continually achieving greater levels of lean body mass. Our unique momentum score formula will allow us to identify changes in this metric.
Will progress be communicated with parents?
Yes. Upon request weekly progress reports can be provided.
Are these programs custom designed?
